Job Title: Project Manager - HVAC/Plumbing/Process

Location: Sacramento, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $110,520 - $147,360 annually

Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, certifications, and location.


Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing HVAC, plumbing, and process projects from concept to completion, including client development, sales coordination, and field labor planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, initiative, and a high level of commitment to both project success and company values.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead project management functions including estimating, proposals, budgeting, and execution
  • Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing with field leadership
  • Manage financial aspects of projects including forecasting, cost control, billing, and reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments
  • Facilitate project kickoff and progress meetings with stakeholders
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to recruiting, training, and coaching efforts
  • Support special assignments and strategic initiatives as directed by leadership

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience managing HVAC projects ranging from $50K to $25M+
  • Proven ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
  • Experience developing new business and maintaining industry relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and preferred experience with JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling during site visits
  • Valid Class C driver's license required
  • Routine attendance and ability to travel to job sites and regional offices

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Typical hours: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM (based on business needs)
  • Travel required based on project location
